Aníbal Abreu (b. Caracas, December 14, 1928) Composer, pianist, arranger, orchestra director. In his early years began as pianist in radio stations and in a short time started as a broadcaster.
In 1947 Abreu joined Luis Alfonzo Larrain's Orchestra as pianist, later founding his own orchestra, Aníbal Abreu Y Su Orquesta, and began his carrear as arranger.
Radio Caracas TV hired him as director of their station, working on the famous Renny Ottolina's Show, "Lo De Hoy". After that, Abreu moved to Venevision another Venezuelan TV station where developed an extended and prolific carrear as composer, arranger and orchestra conductor.
Anibal Abreu is an authoral rights defender in that way is one of founder of SACVEN, Venezuelan rights society of authors and composers.
