Among other things, she has played with musicians such as Fläskkvartetten and Ebba Grön. In the late 1980s, she retired from her public musical career to become a teacher of Swedish and music. However, she released Reconnect 1996 and Song of my Own on August 7, 2008 with gigs around the country. She is known as one of Sweden's strongest female jazz voices. In 2018, she started Annikairene musik AB to resume music production. On May 9, 2020, she performed in a live-stream concert, with the artist name Annika Irene, at the Spinroad Vinyl Factory in Lindome and thus made the world premiere of her latest album "Chaos is my regularity".
In the 1980s, she released a record with compositions of Dorothy Parker poems, which received much attention. Blennerhed is the mother of Albin Lee Meldau.
