A short-lived Berlin group, led by Billie Ray Martin, formed circa 1984. Martin's intention for the group was to form a 'modern day revivalist Supremes or Martha Reeves & The Vandellas style group'. Considered by Martin as 'her first success', the group's style was in 60's soul and the American garage style of the 60’s.
The group only played a couple of shows – which were hugely popular and reviewed with enthusiasm – before breaking up. No studio recordings were made. Martin describes the group's live choreography as 'Supremes on acid', though the choreography and styling of Tina Turner was the main inspiration for the group visually. A recording of the group's second gig was made available in 2014.
