Trombonist, multiinstrumentalist, composer, arranger and conductor, born 1923 in Plauen. From 1962 - 1964 trombonist in the SR Dance Orchestra under Manfred Minnich, from 1964 - 1981 longtime director of this ensemble. In total, Pokorny was responsible for more than 3.000 recordings. He died on August 13, 1999 in Saarbrücken
