Edward Krasiński

Polish avant-garde painter, sculptor and cross-disciplinary artist (3 March 1925, Lutsk, Volhynia, [i]now Ukraine[/i] — 8 June 2004, Warsaw). [b]Edward Krasiński[/b] is widely regarded as one of the nation's contemporary "classics," with over 15 critically-acclaimed solo exhibitions since the early 1960s and several posthumous retrospectives, including Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam, in 2017. One of Krasiński's "trademark" symbols was a blue adhesive tape, always at 1.3 meters above the ground, which he incorporated into numerous paintings, sculptures and site-specific installations.
