Faruk Tınaz

He was born in Adana as the fifth child of a family with eight children. His mother was a devout woman. He had music lessons from Mustafa Erses, Ümit Tokcan, and Nevzat Sümer. In 1980, he won the TRT Radio Special Entertainment exam and started working at TRT. He continued his stage career in Istanbul after starting in Ankara. In 1973, he began living in a single-room apartment in Şişli with Kamil Sönmez and Osman Yağmurdereli. Later, Asım Ekren joined them. In 2010, he was assaulted in his villa in Yeniköy. He was also a member of the Board of Directors of the Turkey Jockey Club. He died of cancer in Istanbul on December 23, 2021, at the age of 65.
