Danish violinist, conductor and composer, born 27 December 1872 in Copenhagen, died 3 August 1950 in Vedbæk.

He was the brother of the opera singer [a7838588] and the cellist Ernst Høeberg and the grandson of H.C. Lumbye.

As early as 1888 he became a student at the Conservatory of Music with, among others, Jørgen Ditleff Bondesen, Niels Wilhelm Gade and Valdemar Tofte as teachers. He had the violin as his main instrument and also studied piano and composition.

After further violin studies in Berlin, he was given a place as a violinist in the Royal Danish Orchestra from 1897-1901. At the same time he began to compose and in 1899 he received the Ankerske Legat. From 1900 he was also a violin teacher at the Conservatory until 1914 when he became Kapellmeister of the Royal Danish Orchestra as a replacement for Frederik Rung. He held that position until 1930. In the years from 1910 to 1914 he had been the director of the concerts of the Danish Concert Association and had there proven his abilities as a conductor.

His musical production was small and declined either before or after his time as conductor.
