    Born January 10, 1927 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
    Died September 5, 2003 (age 76) in Burbank, California, USA.
    Sister of Georges Laflèche, mother of Gigi MacKenzie.
    Known for performances on US TV program Your Hit Parade.
    MacKenzie studied violin at The Royal Conservatory of Music. She performed many comedic musical duets with her mentor Jack Benny. She was a guest on numerous TV variety shows. Her daughter Gigi included a duet with her mother "Stranger In Paradise" on her 2006 album "Skylark".
    MacKenzie charted six times in the U.S. and once in the U.K. between 1952-1956, led by the song "Hard to Get", which hit #4 in the U.S. in 1955. "Seven Lonely Days" hit #7 in the U.K. in 1953.
    She also was a frequent commercial spokesperson.
