Jacob Praetorius the Elder

Jacob Praetorius (the Elder) was a German organist and composer (* ca.1520 in Magdeburg; † 1586 in Hamburg) of the late Renaissance period. He was the father of Hieronymus Praetorius and grandfather of Jacob Praetorius, who both were also composers and organists.
