Jan Scobey

American traditional Jazz bandleader and singer, owner of Jazz mail-order company "Jan Scobey's Hot Jazz".

Born on February 9, 1935 in Chicago, IL, married to Bob Scobey from 1961 until Bob's death in 1963.
Jan is the author of a book about Bob Scobey called "He rambled! 'til cancer cut him down: Bob Scobey, Dixieland jazz musician and bandleader, 1916-1963"
She is most certainly the originator of the Jansco label.
