    Johan Tronestam was born (around 1965) and raised in Sweden, but is now living in tiny Lemland, Åland Islands (Finland), a Swedish-speaking archipelago between Sweden and Finland. He is a composer and a musician who focuses on electronic music. The guiding principles for his development has been the great synth artists who “paved the ground” already in the 70s.


    Johan Tronestam has played keyboards in various groups, but decided to concentrate on composing and playing instrumental, electronic music, which he creates in his own home studio (a former sleeping room). His music has a personal style, but also carries influences from Vangelis, Jean-Michel Jarre, Mike Oldfield, Tangerine Dream, Tim Blake, Neuronium, Kraftwerk, Klaus Schulze and the likes. Johan Tronestam has today (Feb. 2024) managed to produce and release 20 albums since his solo debut in 2008, and #21, Somewhere Far Away. is on its way...
