Swedish music producer, singer and doctor of law, formerly Nielsen, stage name Robin Cook and John Oakfield, born June 29, 1971 in Kungsbacka. He became internationally known in 1996 as a music producer under the stage name Robin Cook with the breakthrough single I Won't Let The Sun Go Down, which was followed by the single Comanchero and the album Land Of Sunshine in 1997 (Stockholm Records/Universal Records). Third single Caravan Of Love was released in 1998. Ekfeldt both sang and produced I Won't Let The Sun Go Down and all other releases under the name Robin Cook, but chose a front man instead of performing himself as he felt he had no time to perform as an artist. The truth behind who was the actual singer was kept secret for more than six years before the evening newspaper Aftonbladet published an article that revealed this. Another single was released in 2002 under the stage name Robin Cook, titled Susanna with Ekfeldt on the cover. Ekfeldt has also produced and written under the pseudonym John Oakfield for artists and groups such as Ondina and Love Collective which he probably created himself. On about ten House productions he is titled "sound engineer", for example on records from the Italian record label EQUAL RECORDS released in 2001-2003. He was also a finalist in the reality show Riket, which was broadcast on SVT in 2004-2005. Two records have been released in 2007 on which Ekfeldt is titled "Production assistant" together with the Italian music producer and composer Pierluigi Giombini, creator of Dolce Vita, I Like Chopin and Masterpiece and others. A cover of Ekfeldt's work Into The Night (originally from 1996) was released in 2016 in France and in Spain by the French label Scorpio Music. The cover was produced by the Italian music producer Emanuele Asti, author of e.g. Playahitty - The Summer Is Magic.
