Lasse Tennander

Lasse Tennander is a Swedish musician, composer, lyricist and sometime actor, born on April 29, 1945 in Stockholm. He has a background as a high school teacher, and was hired in the mid-1960s as a songwriter for record company Karusell. Tennander had his first song recorded in 1966, and during this time he wrote a lot of material for other artists, including Peter Lundblad and The Wayfarers. In 1974 he was in Peter Lundblad's band Duga and played on their [r6905739], before he debuted with Lars Vegas 1974, which included the song Ska vi gå hem till dig which later became a hit in Magnus Uggla's version. Tennander was active in the Swedish progg (leftist) movement during the 1970s, and made his breakthrough as an artist in 1976 with his second album, the more political Alla är vi barn i början.

Tennander released his first album on Ljudspår (undefined's gramophone department). The second album was released by Oktober, owned by SKP (Swedish Communist Party). When they later went bankrupt, he switched to the Danish, commercial record company undefined. During the 1980s, Tennander began writing songs without political content, which became noticeable with the release of the album Rötter.
