    Swedish singer, songwriter and guitarist, born on February 19, 1950 in Malmö who has often participated in feminist contexts. Lena Ekman was a member of Bella Ciao in the 1970s, but also performed solo. She has released three solo LPs; the latest, from 1989, contains his own compositions of poems by Karin Boye. She has also been part of the now defunct choirs Extrasalt and Stockholms bulgariska damkör. Nowadays she is part of the small women's choir Sötsurt (formed by Extrasalt's female members) for which she writes and arranges music, to lyrics by e.g. Aino Trosell.
