    German blues, funk and brass band, formed 1992 by Uli Krug and Jochen Wenz. Known and credited early on as Mardi Gras Brass Band, they shortend the name after two studio and one live albums in 1999 to the widely known Mardi Gras.BB. The "BB" also stands for "bold bold".

    In 2005 the three core members Uli Krug, Jochen Wenz and Erwin Ditzner formed The Mighty Three.
    In December 2013 songwriter and arranger Jochen Wenz left the group.
