    Mårten Lärka

Swedish troubadour, singer and songwriter, from Jättendal in Hälsingland, born October 14, 1971. His lyrics have a poetic imagery. They are subtle and humorous with an undertone of seriousness. The music is often stripped-down and playful and can be described as folk pop, but often meets other genres. Mårten Lärka was during the 1990s (then with the surname Olsson) a singer, guitarist and songwriter in the indie pop band Opossum, which later became The Trimatics. Since the beginning of the 2000s, he has been active as a solo artist and released music mainly through his own label M.OTION SONGS. In 2015, Mårten Lärka began releasing songs with French lyrics. The albums "Alouette" and "Alléz, Alléz" were released in 2016 and 2020. Mårten Lärka also sings "Små grodorna" and "Fötter, ben och kropp" on the compilation album "Sånger och ramsor från barnkammarboken vol.4" (2007), published by Bonnier. The album won a Grammis in the category Children's Album of the Year in 2007, among other awards.
