The practice of bogus orchestras using established names is more likely to occur on fly-by-night labels, where the conductor is a relative unknown. Established labels employing musicians on a session-by-session basis, rather than giving a false credit, would generally invent an orchestra name which sounds respectable and established, but does not really exist, e.g. Vienna Festival Orchestra. Conductor credits like Helmut Bucher and Alfred Scholz are a red flag for this.
