    Symphony orchestra based at the Teatro Nacional De São Carlos in Lisbon, Portugal. It was active between the 1950s and 1980s, performing for major opera productions that included famous singers like Maria Callas. In 1993 a new orchestra was created — Orquestra Sinfónica Portuguesa, based at the same venue.
