In the 1980s, he played keyboards and backing vocals in the coldwave band Innervoice and acoustic guitar in the folk duo Pete & Al. He also worked at noted Montreal music venue Les Foufounes Électriques. In the 1990s, he switched from music to work in the film industry as a cameraman.
Nephew of Pierrette Bourdon, uncle of Alexandre Julien and Catherine Julien.
