Reverend Gean West

Vocalist from Dallas, Texas. Beginning in the late 1950s, West performed with the The Sensational Golden Knights, the Mighty Golden Voices, and The Southernaires. In 1970, he formed gospel-funk group The Relatives with his brother Tommie West. Following The Relatives' dissolution, West returned to Dallas to minister to God’s Anointed Community Church of God in Christ. A rerelease of The Relatives music in 2009 led to the band reforming for shows and new recordings. West died in February 2015, age 78.
