Punk guitarist and singer. Born in London in the 1950s. After moving between Egypt, Greece and Israel post graduating from her A Levels she moved to Bristol, UK where she formed Rita And The Piss Artists, she played bass. The band disbanded after only five gigs. She went on to play bass in the two-piece God Bless You and duetted with singer Dave Ryan on a cover of Pale Blue Eyes by The Velvet Underground. Audiences encouraged her to front her own band and she went on to record her debut in 1991, which was frustratingly stalled by an inexperienced record company. After descending into petty crime to survive and a second near death experience she was helped out by friends and recorded her second album in 2001. Rita has also been the subject of a documentary by Channel 4 entitled "On the road with Rita Lynch". Rita has collaborated with many Bristol artists on her other solo albums and was even a member of The Blue Aeroplanes in 2006, whom she still continues to support on their live shows.
