The Killaz

Canadian experimental/conceptual parody hip-hop duo, active since 2005. The Killaz were originally founded as [url=https://discogs.com/artist/1192639]G.I. Joe Killaz[/url] by an electronic musician and producer Tomas Jirku, forced to change the name after legal complaints from Hasbro, an owner of the eponymous "G.I. Joe" '80s TV series and action figure collection. Now active as a duo, The Killaz presented No Bullets Necessary CD EP on the band's new private imprint, Hasbro, in October 2005. The project reflected Jirku's departure as the apparent betrayal and assassination of his fictional character DJ Cobra Commander, with the remaining two members assuming new aliases — MC Destro became [url=https://discogs.com/artist/3410100]Des[/url], and ex-Baroness now appearing as [url=https://discogs.com/artist/3114503]Stacy[/url].
