Valerie Bettis (20 December 1919, Houston, Texas — 26 September 1982, New York City) was an American ballerina, choreographer, and actress, ex-wife of composer Bernardo Segall (from 1943 to 1955). She debuted in 1947 with Ballet Russe De Monte Carlo company. Bettis performed in several Broadway musicals and choreographed Rita Hayworth's dances in the 1952 film noir Affair in Trinidad and William Dieterle's '53 Salome biblical drama.
