Canadian musician (percussionist, flutist, guitarist), vocalist/singer, songwriter, and producer. Father of Michelle St. John.
Born in Toronto, raised until age 9 in Bermuda, spent his adolescence in Yonkers, N.Y. After receiving his U.S. draft notice in the late 1960s he headed back to Toronto.
Inducted into the Canadian Black Music Hall of Fame in 1982.
