    He was born 17 July 1947 in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.
    During his school years, in Düsseldorf, he founded in 1966 his first amateur Group "The Beathovens" followed by the "Spirits Of Sound" with Michael Rother and Wolfgang Riechmann.
    From 1973 to 1987 he was a member of Kraftwerk.
