    (1903, Kharkov — 1st November, 1969, Moscow) Soviet jazzman, composer, conductor. In 1929 he made his debut with his theatrical jazz orchestra. In 1946, the Renski jazz orchestra was disbanded as not meeting the artistic demands. In the 1950-1960's the band took the form of big band and performed jazz music of Soviet and Western composers.
