10LEC6

French dance post-punk band formed in 2003 in Paris.
Pronounced "dis-lec-six" (pronunciation of the word "dyslexic" in French).

10LEC6 is a shape-shifting project formed around street-artist/musician [a=Simon Bernheim] and DJ-producer [a=Jean-Sébastien Bernard] aka DJ Jess (from the underground French Touch duo Jess & Crabbe). What began as a project motivated by a desire to play loud and hard music has grown into a live act playing music for the dancefloors. The band has had a song picked-up by the TV series Skins and toured with The Gossip. They are influenced by post-punk's more danceable side, as well as disco, house, and other electro-deviant sounds.
Singer Nicole has gospel roots and can also rap and shout in Bulu (a Bantou dialect spoken in the South of Cameroon), bringing an Afro-punk, tribal influences, to the band.
