21 Hertz is a trip-hop group created in 2003 in Stockholm(Sweden) by Karin Steneby (vocalist), Christian Hörkkö (guitar, keyboards), Christian Ricci (bass and pads) and Sylvain Brochard (DJ). The idea was to make live electronic music, using regular “rock band” instruments like electric guitar or bass, as working with synthesizers, computer, and turntables. Slow beats, fat bass, sharp off-key melodies punctuated by twisted scratches supports the enchanting vocals.
