Active for three years, until 1998, the collective was based in Long Beach, California. Action League dropped its debut 7" single, [r=2250723], on Bike Shop Records, followed by the self-titled CD EP on Solid. After releasing a few more singles, such as [r=6840264], recorded in March 1997 at [a=Mike McHugh]'s studio in Costa Mesa, Bike Shop Records, with a limited-edition 7" on Dieselhead Records. By 1998, as indicated in the liner notes of the [r=6284780] CD compilation on Bike Shop Records, the Action League had already disbanded. The group's sole 1999 album, [r=7107125] CD on Bike Shop Records, was a reissue of the original EP with more tracks.
