    Alain Kremski was a French pianist, composer, and musicologist, known for his expertise in Eastern music traditions, particularly those of India and Tibet. He was born in Paris on April 4, 1940 and began studying music at a young age. Kremski's interest in Eastern music led him to study under various masters, including Indian sitar player Ravi Shankar and Tibetan lama Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche. Throughout his career, Kremski blended elements of Western classical music with Eastern influences, creating a unique and innovative style. He composed numerous works for piano, often incorporating modal scales and rhythms inspired by Indian classical music and Tibetan chants. He composed for a collection of sacred Buddhist bowls and gongs from Asia (Japan - China - Burma - Tibet) rare collection of ancient instruments unique in Europe. Kremski also contributed to the dissemination of Eastern music in the West through his performances, recordings, and lectures. His work helped to bridge cultural divides and foster a greater understanding and appreciation of Eastern musical traditions in Western audiences. Alain Kremski passed away on December 28, 2018 in Paris, leaving behind a legacy of pioneering cross-cultural musical exploration.
