Alexander Goedicke

Alexander Goedicke (1877–1957) was a Russian composer, organist, pianist, professor of the Moscow Conservatory, People's Artist of the RSFSR (1946) and laureate of the Stalin Prize (1948). He graduated from the Moscow Conservatory in 1898 after studying with Paul Pabst and Anton Stepanovich Arensky. In 1900, Goedicke won the Third Rubinstein Competition in Vienna.

Since 1909, Alexander Goedicke taught as a professor at the Moscow Conservatory. He became a head of organ class in 1923 and gave his first solo concert on the organ at the Moscow Conservatory.
