Alexander Wendt

Alexander Wendt creates sonic arts and electronic music since the turn of the millenium. Earlier works are silicone based composition that one would associate with pure digitalia or the clicks'n'cuts. Later works incorporate the element of spatial acoustics and the use of field recording for a 'music concrete' or cinematic compositions.

He has been producing the FREQUENZEN radio programme for Resonance FM in London (2003 – 2007) and streaming to audiences globally. Alexander Wendt ran the now defunct labels 12x50 Recordings (publishing the Micro-Series, and the Carbon Series showcasing up and coming artists) and the miatera imprint from a studio near the zero degree meridian in London, Greenwich. Wendt produced the debut albums for artists like Matt Rösner (now Room40 / Apestaartje) and Jodi Cave (12K).
His own compositions have appeared on stage, gallery and screen, and were published on various compilations and online projects, he has collaboratively released with Benjamin Brunn, John Chantler, Gianluca Bonomo and si-cut.db just to name a few.
Not much information about Wendt's various engagements exist, but references appear dotted far and wide. Apparently some file exchange with SchneiderTM (aka Dirk Dresselhaus) in 2003 resulted in the track Klexx, one of Wendt's used monikers and appeared on the Škoda Mluvit release 2008. Wendt also appears on the album sleeve of Hey-ø-hansen's Pleasure Riddims release.

Alexander Wendt has undertaken research projects into the field of psycho-acoustics, interactive sound art and is lecturer since 2006; on the subjects of film, sonic arts and media design.
