Romanian composer, teacher with hebrew origins born February 17, 1910 – passed away May 9, 1966. 1927- 1931 studied at the Music Academy in Vienna with Joseph Marx and Franz Schmidt and the Conservatory in Bucharest at Mihail Jora. 1944 - 1963 was conductor at the Romanian National Opera, 1949, he taught as professor of counterpoint at the Conservatory.
