Argentinian composer and bandoneonist (1896 - 1964). Also known as Ricardo Aieta.
Most of his compositions were done in partnership with Francisco García Jiménez

Began his performing in 1913, playing in a Café with Agustín Bardi and Ricardo "Mochila" Gonzalez, then a number of other café acts spread through San Telmo, Buenos Aires
His joined his first orchestra in 1919 as bandeononist for Francisco Canaro's Orchesta Típica, perfoming until 1923.
During the early 20s he directed at least 3 orchestras at different venues, alternating his own perfomances. No recorded material remains.
From 1925 to 1928 performed in the stable orchestra for the Paramount theather-cinema (previously known as the Moullin Rouge).
In 1928 or 1930 he funds a sextet that has been referred both as Anselmo Aieta's Gran Orquesta Típica and Los Ases alongside some partners of the Paramount ensemble. Disbanded in the late 30s. Aieta retired from active performance.
In the 1950s, possibly circa 1953, he forms quintet Anselmo Aieta Y Su Quinteto Típico, recording for T.K..
