The Anticon crew was founded alongside the label of the same name in 1998 by Sole (Tim Holland), Alias (Brendon Whitney), Doseone (Adam Drucker), Why? (Yoni Wolf), Odd Nosdam (David Madson), Jel (Jeffrey Logan), and The Pedestrian (James Brandon Best). In the early 2000s, the core crew expanded to include Passage (David Bryant), Buck 65 (Richard Terfry), Controller 7 (Tommy McMahon), Rev. Destructo (Rus Laich), DJ Mayonnaise (Chris Greer), Josh Martinez (Matthew Kimber), Moodswing9 (Dave Cuzner), and Sixtoo (Robert Squire), then contracted again in 2002 back to the 7 original members + Passage. Sole left in 2010. Alias died in 2018.
