Arcatype

Still a relatively new name to the scene, Arcatype are a three-pronged production outfit forging influences from jungle, techno, ambient and jazz to create a unique sound, which fits neatly into the traditional framework of drum & bass. A quality over quantity approach to their release schedule has seen them appear on respected labels such as Ingredients Records and C.I.A Records, with new material penned for release in 2018 and beyond. Carving out their own space within the scene has allowed Arcatype to resonate strongly with the deeper, more thoughtful aesthetic of drum & bass. Over the last few years their attention to detail, clear emphasis on sound design and technical ability in the studio has captured the attention of fans and fellow producers alike. Beyond this, Arcatype aim to continue building upon their solid foundations, evolving their sound and looking towards the higher echelons of the drum & bass world. With one foot rooted deeply in the past and the other pulling forward towards the future, it’s safe to say Arcatype are here to stay.
