About

Ardyth Robinson is a ninth generation Nova Scotian with a beautiful voice, a gentle touch on the harp and a wealth of traditional folk songs at her fingertips. Jennifer Wyatt was born in Chicago, but grew up outside of Fredericton, New Brunswick with music of every style from jazz and classical to good old fashioned folk songs surrounding her. Jennifer spent many nights peering through the vent in her floor to catch her parent's late night jug band parties, and just as many nights listening to great classical and jazz concerts at the Fredericton Playhouse. Both Ardyth & Jennifer played the guitar, and Jennifer played a little bit of piano and sang in a choir and a rock and roll band, but when they began to sing together, it was magic. After Ardyth introduced Jennifer to the harp, the songwriting began- all the musical influences from classical and jazz to rock and roll and folk found their way into the music, and together they created the sound that has become uniquely "Ardyth & Jennifer".

After almost ten years on the road, they are still the best of travelling companions, and they can't believe how lucky they are to be able to sustain a life "on the road". Their music has been described as an intricate musical Celtic knot, intertwining harps and voices in exquisite patterns, and as they have travelled throughout the Maritimes and into the New England States, this sound has become their trademark, drawing in more and more audiences.

As soon as Ardyth & Jennifer began to play for public performances, almost ten years ago, they decided to make a cassette as a Christmas present for friends and family. They saved up enough money to pay for one day in the studio, got up their courage, and went in to record. As news travelled about their recording, many people asked if they could purchase a copy, so they decided to make a few extras to help cover the costs. They sold their first run of this recording out in a matter of weeks, and the dream of a professional recording was born.

Travelling the roads together throughout the Maritimes and into the New England States, they have remained the best of friends, and continued to draw more and more listeners in to this unique sound from and ancient instrument, and to their distinct style of songwriting.
