Born in Rome as a trio in 1998, Babalot revolve around the main songwriter Sebastiano Pupillo. They released a demo in 2001 and their critically acclaimed debut Che Succede Quando Uno Muore in 2003, but shortly thereafter disbanded because of Pupillo moving to Milan. He recorded a second record (Un Segno Di Vita) by himself with lo-fi instrumentation, and released it under the Babalot moniker in 2005. Babalot reappeared as a band in 2011, releasing in digital free-download their third record Non Sei Più. Their fourth album Dormi O Mordi was crowd-funded via Indiegogo in 2014 and released early in 2015.
