About

Spanish band from Sant Feliu del Llobregat (Barcelona) formed in 1989 by David Rodríguez (voice and guitar), Manuel (bass) and Xavi (drums). They came from other formations of hardcore tendency that certainly went unnoticed: Lakeoskae, Kagallons or The Disgusting Orchestra.

The name of the group is due to a theme of the American band of the seventies, still active, The Residents, those who carried the big eye in the head to hide their identity. They were influenced by sounds that came from sinister / electronic wave bands such as Sonic Youth, The Fall or Wire, Kraftwerk and even Cabaret Voltaire.

Between 1990 and 1991 they record two demos with songs like 'Burra guitarra vieja', República Dominicana',' Instrumental nº 327 ',' El buscador de mugre ',' Vientos de Badajoz ',' Bisagra chase 'and' Gran aplauso'.

In December of 1991 they enter the Studios Lin (Barcelona) and, in only three days, they register their only Lp titled 'Sonotone', a work that achieves an unusual power and roughness in a national record. It was released in Spain and France by Marilyn Records, in whose compilation 'Young Weapons, 91' included the song of Bach is Dead, 'Burra guitarra vieja'. On a single disc, 'Hole sand' and the unpublished song 'Prismatics girl' are extracted.

In 1993, they are part of a new compilation entitled 'Circuit Zero' on this occasion edited by Discs Alimenticis, in which the chosen cut was the unpublished 'Frank'.
His latest work, again sponsored by Marilyn Records, was a single that included 'One shoe man / Insert' (1993).
That same year the group dissolved and David Rodríguez started a new project called Beef (1993), which was followed by the parallel group Telefilme (1995), Jackson (1999) or La Estrella de David.
