Irish céilí band, founded in 1927, later becoming and recording nine 78's as The Ballinakill Ceilidhe Band in the 1930's.
The parish of Ballinakill lies between Woodford and Loughrea in Co. Galway. They were assembled by curate Fr Larkin to provide music for dancing in the local school. Original members were Tommy Whyte and Jerry Moloney (fiddles), Stephen Moloney and Tommy Whelan (flutes), and Anna Rafferty (piano).
They disbanded in 1943.
Their LPs include St Patrick's Night in Dublin (Capitol) and Leprechauns (VEC).
