“In early 1989, brothers Dwayne & Gary Dassing founded Benestrophe with Vocalist Rich Mendez. After releasing two full length demo’s, playing numerous live shows and gaining a huge following in their home town of San Antonio, Texas, the band then decided to dismantle and go their separate ways for a number of reasons. Later on, in a new year and a new city, the brothers Dwayne & Gary re-formed to establish ’Mentallo & The Fixer’.“ (taken from the liner notes of the Sensory Deprivation album)
