American actor, singer & musician. Born February 14, 1924 in New York City, New York, USA. Died November 20, 1994 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA. Most music magazines spelled his name Bernie Nee, as were most of the recordings he issued during the 1950s. Knee played guitar, piano and bass in addition to being a vocalist. He became known as a demo singer who made more than 5,000 demo recordings for songwriters in many genres. Knee's biggest top-40 hit (#33 in 1958) was one where his name did not appear: he was in a studio group called the Five Blobs with the song "The Blob".
