About

Hip hop duo from New Orleans, Louisiana. Active from 1996 to 2005. Consisted of rapper Baby and rapper/producer Mannie Fresh. Big Tymers released their debut album in 1997 titled How You Luv That. After inking Cash Money's multi million dollar deal with Universal Records, the first album that was released in this partnership was a re-release of How You Luv That with some new songs - How You Luv That Vol. 2. After scheduling their next album for February 2000, they released it in May 2000 titled I Got That Work which went platinum. The group released its most successful album in 2002 titled Hood Rich. The album reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 200 and spawned a major hit in "Still Fly" which reached No. 11 on the Billboard Hot 100. Later in 2002, Mannie Fresh resigned from Cash Money Records because of financial dispute with Birdman, and his brother Slim. The group later reunited again in 2003 for their final album titled Big Money Heavyweight. After Mannie Fresh left Cash Money Records permanently in 2005, the group disbanded and Birdman pursued a solo career.
