About

American Hawaiian music steel guitarist.
Born January 18, 1921 Honolulu, Oahu, Honolulu, Hawaii Died November 23, 1987 Honolulu, Hawaii (age of 66).
Len had to overcome the tremendous handicap of losing his left hand at age 17 in an industrial accident. By use of a leather glove with an attached steel bar, Len was able to play steel guitar. Through sheer love and dedication, he developed into one of the most renowned players in the Hawaiian Islands, much sought after for recordings and live performances. Billy led the Moana Hotel’s band for 14 years.
