US soul - rhythm 'n' blues singer. Born in 1941, Daingerfield, TX. Active on the West Coast and later in Macon, GA. Known for being produced by Otis Redding. Released a long series of singles in two decades time, from 1963 to 1984. Died on 19th August 1999.
