Territory band led by Eugene Staples a.k.a. Blue Steele that played a mix of hot jazz and sweet music, active from 1925 to the early 1940s, first in Florida, but then all over the Southern United States.
Between 1927 and 1930, Blue Steele's band recorded 34 sides for Victor in Atlanta, GA and in Memphis, TN. They had a minor hit with "Sugar Babe, I'm Leavin'!" (1927).
