    Rothberg created songs for the Color Classics, Popeye, and Betty Boop cartoons. Among the songs were "Why Am I So Beautiful?" (Popeye).
    Rothberg wrote the lyrics to the title song of the Betty Boop short House Cleaning Blues, while Fleischer Studio's resident composer Sammy Timberg wrote the music. The two worked together to write about a dozen songs for Betty Boop shorts, and they wrote several other songs for Fleischer cartoons.
