    American musician born March 9th 1966 in Teaneck, New Jersey, USA. Brendan Canty was a founding member and drummer for the bands Fugazi and Rites Of Spring, plus he founded Deathfix in 2009 — playing guitar and singing. Brendan has been making music, producing records, and making films in the Washington D.C. area since 1980. Canty has also produced records for people like Ted Leo, The Make-Up, and The Thermals and played drums with Bob Mould and Eddie Vedder. Brendan is the brother of James Canty.
