Singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, composer, arranger and producer from Portland, Oregon. Cal is the musical director of The Trail Band and also records and tours with Irish fiddler Kevin Burke. He also composes music for film and TV, and has scored over 50 documentaries and specials for PBS. He has been playing a variety of music for years, everything from folk to jazz, on bass, brass and guitar, to name a few. Early in his career he has been associated with Doug Durbrow, engineer at Desitrek Studios in Portland OR. Cal operated Cal Scott Music during the 1990s into the 2000s.
