About

Rapper, actor & entertainment personality from Harlem, New York City. Born February 4th, 1976. Cam'ron started his rap career in his late teens under the aegis of Big L using the stage name [a269922] as a part of the group Children Of The Corn. Fast tracked to become a UNDEAS Recording artist under Notorious B.I.G., the deaths of Biggie & his cousin [a1338090] at the same time had Cam'ron hooking up with Biggies business partner [a219135] and the new Untertainment Records combined with a deal with Epic, becoming its marquee artist and releasing two albums. Cam'ron saw a future beyond the constraints of Epic and so his street crew The Diplomats marched to Epic offices in 2001 and demanded Camron's release. In its place came a deal from Damon Dash to become a Roc-A-Fella Records/Def Jam Recordings artist. He released his most popular album "Come Home With Me" in 2002. Using the success of "Come Home With Me", Cam'ron managed to get The Diplomats the same record deal he had and launched his groups mainstream recording career, with members Juelz Santana getting the same record deal and Jim Jones going the independent KOCH route. Meanwhile, Cam'ron wanted to release his next album "Purple Haze" but it was delayed by over a year. As such, Cam'ron left Roc-A-Fella in 2005 and got a independent deal with Asylum Records. He released the album "Killa Season" on Asylum Records in 2006. Following this, a public embarrassment with a failed 50 Cent feud, Jim Jones declaring him musically irrelevant compared to him combined with his mothers health problems made Cam'ron take the entirety of 2007 off, only re-emerging to release a mixtape "Public Enemy #1" at the end of the year. He took 2008 off and decided to re-emerge with the "Crime Pays" album in 2009. Next came a partnership with rapper Vado and the reunification of The Diplomats.
